The large terracotta bowl features a spongeware effect of bright green glaze over a buttery yellow slip on the inside and is undecorated on the exterior. This vessel would have been used in peak tomato season to make fresh tomato sauce at quantity. In charming antique condition, here is a conversation piece to display or use for light duty storage.
