An exquisite gilt bronze chandelier from 19th century France with all the leafy vigor of Rococo Revival and Gothic drama including dark patina. Eight scrolling arms rising from the ornate central column are emphasized by foliate decoration in the form of slender acanthus leaves, draped over the metal armature and descending from the pierced bobeches. Professionally cleaned and rewired for US electric using UL listed parts, the fixture takes eight candelabra lightbulbs.
