The … Read more An early 20th century art pottery vase from Royal Doulton of England, date marked for the period between 1901-1922. The vessel was hand-decorated by E. Violet Hayward and Christine Abbot in the Art Nouveau style; the upper part of the vase features relief molded and stylized iris blossoms inside a medallion with a light olive green ground matching the rim. The lower two thirds of the vase is enveloped in a rich mottled glaze of glossy cobalt blue.

The vessel stands 9.75 in. H x 4.38 in. diameter (at widest) and is in very good condition with a few faint scratches. Fully marked underfoot with the impressed Royal Doulton factory mark, numbers "6943" and "672", "CA" monogram of Senior Assistant Christine Abbot and an "hd" monogram for Royal Doulton artist, E. Violet Hayward. See less
