A fine late-Meiji Japanese Satsuma bowl (circa 1885–1910) by the Yasuda Company of Kyoto, hand-painted with scholars and attendants in polychrome enamels and gilt over a fine crackle glaze. The base bears the Dai Nippon Yasuda Sei mark (大日本 安田製), signifying both national pride and maker attribution.
One minor rim chip is present (shown), unobtrusive and stable. Otherwise excellent preservation of enamel and gilding.
A historically significant Kyoto export piece, valued for its craftsmanship, palette, and association with Yasuda’s late-Meiji production.
