A great antique platter or large serving tray, made of thick, glazed white ironstone.
It is in the Tea Leaf pattern with a hand painted copper luster decoration
Made by Alfred Meakin of Tunstall, Britain, as marked on the underside
Dates back to the period 1891-1897
The word "England" in the mark signifies that it was made from 1891 on, and the lack of "Ltd" next to ALFRED MEAKIN dates it prior to 1897
