Store Item: 18th Century Tall Case Clock Black Lacquered Chinoiserie Tall Case Clock, James Bridges, Okehampton
Description: Clock features a square bonnet top with double molded cornice having three brass finials on square plinths, fluted colonnetts above a cove molded rectangular waist with mahogany crossbnaded door, flanked by fluted quater columns, above a mahohgany crossbaned paneled box and molded plinth base. Dial is a 12.25" square brass dial having Roman hours and Arabic minutes, with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the single tranin movement striking on a bell. Clock includes weights, pendulum, key and winder.
Condition Report: Good Overall appearance with some wear, nicks. abraisions, scuffs and scratches as expected with age and wear, the back boards has some warping and separation with shrinkage and age cracks, dial good condition with some wear and toning to the brass, The clock was working at testing, but we do not guarantee the working conditions of clocks and highly recommend hiring a professional clock person to clean, service and install the clock after delivery
