Art Deco mantel clock, marble, 1930s
A clock to be placed centrally on a chest of drawers or a fireplace, made of marble and brass, Art Deco style, 1930s-40s. 20th century. 20th century.
Made of engraved and gilded marble.
Although little of the gilding has survived.
In my opinion, the clock has a replaced mechanism and has the original key.
The worker strikes every half hour and strikes the gong on the full hour as many times as the hour. It's true that I have reservations, because the clock runs very well, but the gongs strike e.g. 12, then the gong starts toll 7 minutes after 12 and so on, it also strikes 12 and 37 every half hour.
In my opinion, the setting should be done by a watchmaker. If it bothers anyone.
