An Empire Ormolu and Patinated Bronze Urn Clock. Circa 1810. The enamelled dial with Roman and Arabic numerals signed Rodier a Paris, within an urn shaped case, the neck cast with a band of putti emblematic of the four seasons and flanked by winged maidens, the handles ending in masks, the socle cast with leaf tips, raised on a square bun feet. An identical clock is illustrated, CH. Massin, Mabilier Directoire Empire, Paris p. 55. Purchased at Sotheby's NYC.
