Three-dimensional panels with a background of fine mesh overlaid with curling motifs embellished with lapis and cobalt enameling; set into mesh bezels atop the panels are huge oval cabochons of carnelian. On either end, containing the clasp, are mesh panels with curling tendril and floral designs. The carnelian stones are spectacular, a classic orange hue that is rich and resonant; the dark silver and vivid blues set them off brilliantly. The photos can't quite capture the singular glowing warmth of the stones. These Art Deco masterpieces are hard to find, especially in such excellent condition.
