A crown and crest bearing the British flag sits in between cameo-style portraits of the Royal Monarchs. Opposite the portraits is a wreath that confirms the plate's provenance with the words 'Souvenier of Royal Visit to Newcastle July 11, 1906. ' Stamped on the back 'Foley China, England RD 38058.' A thin gold trim traces the edge of the scalloped saucer, which is divided into eight petal-shaped sections.
