Offered is a late 19th century New York BLACK, STARR & FROST STERLING SILVER CENTERPIECE BOWL.
This bowl is approximately 3 7/8 x 8 3/4" Weighs approximately 23 OZT.
Features a lobed rim and slightly flaring foot. Heavy repoussé decoration of scrolling acanthus leaves and chrysanthemums.
The bottom is stamped 'BLACK, STARR & FROST', 'STERLING' and the company's eagle hallmark.
The cartouche has a fancy 'F' monogram. Other than the monogram, the bowl is in excellent condition.
