This is an antique drawing room elbow chair. An English, mahogany and leather desk seat, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

Delightful palette of caramel hues and chestnut tanned leather
Distinctive bowed crest rail with gadrooned finish
Shaped back splay with spiral flowerhead motif to centre
Striking serpentine arms with swept supports and scrolled knuckles
Traditionally stuffed cushion, at a comfortable height of 46cm (18'')
Finished with appealing press stud trim to the lower edge
Standing upon turned front legs with gently swept rear legs
