Gorgeous and large, vintage Murano hand blown persimmon orange, gold and aventurine flecks Italian art glass bowl. It is documented to designer Alfredo Barbini, circa 1950-1960. The design is published in his catalog. It is profusely covered in gold leaf, and the heavy copper aventurine stripes glitters in any light. Very rare color for this design. The bowl also has 2 indents along the rim, that could be used as cigar holders. Would make a great display piece on any coffee table, dresser or credenza. Use it as a catchall, ashtray or candy dish. Mid-century era. Measures 8 1/2" across x 3 1/2" high.
