A fine antique Chinese Jun Bowl with wood stand - this ceramic piece was purchased in Canton in the 80's by ourselves, from a collector there of such items at the time.
The bowl has an elegant shape and rests on a narrow foot, rising to a gently curved buff shaded rim.
A soft gentle blue glaze with hints of mauve, that falls short at foot ring to reveal brown unglazed foot. The blue colours are quite beautiful.
Dating to the 19th century or possibly earlier. (Qing Dynasty). Expected imperfections in the glaze typical of the period.
An elegant and collectable piece.
