Pair of rare Vilhelm Lauritzen "Musician Chair" in oak, brass and original dark green upholstery. Architect Vilhelm Lauritzen designed this chair in 1942 for the National Broadcasting Building or Radiohuset ("The Radio House") in Copenhagen, Denmark, one of his most prestigious commissions. His work was not limited to the structure of the building as he also designed its refined interiors. Functional, the seat and backrest of the Musician’s chair are adjustable to the instrument being played. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
