They have a Hollywood Regency style with a turned wood center pedestal and a black painted finish. They are hand painted with red and gold designs throughout. There is an underlying texture, especially on the tops, which gives the impression of papier mâché (see close-up photos), but they are wood. They are not marked. These offer lots of flexibility and could be used all around the home. See less
