Manufactured of … Read more A bold and impressive Space Age Atomic Modern Architectural "bowtie" table/desk Clock Lamp designed by United circa 1950. Manufactured of expanded steel, Brass and fiberglass parchment shade, all very well engineered and machined. The highly graphic Architectural form has amazing Mid Century aesthetic details and bears strong resemblance to the equally striking "Snider" bowtie design which was made in Canada during the same period, but with this version being much burlier and bolder in both quality and materials. Clock runs accurate and quiet while … moreThis striking clock lamp is in exceptional original condition, completely intact and fully functional. Clock runs accurate and quiet while the lamps are equally issue free and controlled by a seperate switch on the backside. The lime green colored inner parchment fiberglass shade is super clean without blemish, damage or issues while the expanded metal body is equally as clean and blemish free. The solid Brass details are stunning throughout with just a faint patina . Original wiring, power switch and sockets have been inspected and appear to be clean, safe and fully functional. I have handled many of these Bowtie clock lamps over the decades and this is one of the cleanest I have ever seen, it does not get any better! less
