This mid century glass tray with gold accents is signed George Briard.
Absolutely mint condition
George Briard (Jacub Brojdo 1917- 2004)
Was an American designer known for his signature dish ware & glassware.
His signature collections were sold at Bonwit Teller &Neiman Marcus.
Born in Ukraine, studied at the Art Institute of Chicago earning a MFA.
Served in The US Army under General Patton as an interpreter during World War II
He returned to NYC and began painting metal trays
His designs were 1st produced at M. Wille Co
In 2004 he was awarded the Frank Child lifetime achievement award achievement award by the Society of Glass & Ceramics Decorators
