Armchair attributed to Gio Ponti for Isa Bergamo.
Elegant armchair recently reupholstered and restored with fine velvet.
Its two-tone soul gives it that extra edge to be the protagonist of the room even on its own.
The refined, contrasting pastel colors rejuvenate it, making it bold and current.
The armchair is attributed to the designer Gio Ponti.
Gio Ponti was one of the most important post-war architects.
Having graduated in 1921 from the Royal Higher Technical Institute, he had a brilliant career as a designer.
He worked with the biggest Italian design brands: Richard Ginori, Venini, Cassina, Fontana Arte and many others.
In 1928 he founded the magazine Domus, an architecture and furniture editorial.
Produced by Isa Bergamo, a company founded in Ponte San Pietro in the late 1940s. This piece is designed in the style of the selected designer and/or manufacturer
