This is an antique lyre back side chair. An English, walnut and needlepoint embroidered bedroom or hall seat, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.

Walnut frame presents fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
Traditionally stuffed cushion with quality embroidered cover
Shaped crest rail with flame mahogany frieze to centre
