This is a set of 12 pretty desert plates, each 7.5” diameter and in mint condition. Made by L. Bernardaud & Co in Limoges, France in the early 20th century, this set is white porcelain with a hand painted border of pink and dark blue roses and as well as a border of gold leaf. An outer border of a gold Greek key designs adds sophistication. Each plate is marked on the underside “B&Co. Limoges France” in green as well as “L.Bernardaud & Co, Limoges” in red.
L. Bernardaud and Co is a family run business founded in 1863 in Limoges, France. Know as a provider of luxury porcelain it is still thriving today.
