Elegant MCM style, large heart-shaped mouth-blown green-blue glass bowl with polished pontil. With its refined and understated design, this bowl is a perfect addition to Mid-Century Modern or contemporary décor. We have seen similar items described as Sommerso glass from Seguso Vetri d'Arte Glassworks, Flavio Poli (Italian, 1900-1984). Sommerso is technique where one color glass is submerged (sommerso in Italian) into a different color molten glass before blowing it into shape.
