A stunning set of two antique Imperial Satsuma bowls, decorated with raised gold gilt, Gosu blue, white, and red enamels, showcasing intricate detailing. They are unmarked but feature an impressed swirl pattern at the center of the bottom. Estimated to date from the 1850s to the 1880s.
Each bowl measures approximately 5-1/2" wide x 2" tall
Net weight 11.65 oz and 11.10 oz respectively
Good condition. Slight overall decoration loss. The second bowl shown in photos has a 3/8" x 1/4" chip along the edge (see last photo for mulitple perspectives).
