This … Read more Here is a lovely, porcelain portrait featuring a young girl in a pink dress and bonnet with her swan. This particular piece is special for a number of reasons. It appears to be handmade with the intricate folds of the dress and the lacy details which can be see at the front of her shirt and on the under-skirt hem. Also, notice the beautiful way the artist has depicted her hair. This may just be me but there is something Tim Burton about her. I believe it's in the proportions and the facial expression. And of course, I adore the swan! And the swan adores her, which you can clearly see in its intent gaze and how it is snuggled in her skirts. The two figures are mounted on a black wood base. Very unique, one of a kind piece. See less
