Just above … Read more A majestic tall Empire style dresser or wardrobe with beautiful ebony-colored columns with brass capitals at the top. Just above the cabinet doors is a nicely carved accent band. The piece rests upon short sabre style feet. This piece has all the hallmarks of a finely made dresser by the likes of Baker Furniture, Kindel or John Widdicomb, but lacks any identifiable maker’s mark or label. The upper cabinet contains dividers and the lower portion of the dresser has three large drawers. The hardware on this piece is brass. This dresser is in good vintage condition with some minor scuffs and nicks to the finish, mostly on the lower front right leg; see photograph.
