A beautifully detailed late Victorian silver-plated basket, likely intended as a grape or fruit basket, featuring intricate piercings, a scalloped rim, and a swing handle adorned with lush grapevine motifs. English, c.1880s–1890s. The pierced design not only adds visual interest but would have allowed fruit to breathe—function meeting elegance in classic Victorian fashion.
