A beautifully detailed late Victorian silver-plated basket, likely intended as a grape or fruit basket, featuring intricate piercings, a scalloped rim, and a swing handle adorned with lush grapevine motifs. English, c.1880s–1890s. The pierced design not only adds visual interest but would have allowed fruit to breathe—function meeting elegance in classic Victorian fashion.
Today, it’s equally charming filled with linen napkins, mossy eggs, hand soaps, or seasonal florals. A versatile accent for your table, entryway, or sideboard. Unmarked.
