The Mid Century Modern exhibition poster print is published by the famous Andre Emmerich Gallery New York City. Printed in 1960 in an unnumbered limited edition of the occasion of the exhibition. It features an Abstract Expressionist artwork image by the artist Theodoros Stamos.

Theodoros Stamos ( 1922 - 1997 ) was a Greek American Modernist painter. He is best known for his large-scale gestural abstractions, and was the youngest member of the early Abstract Expressionist group, along side such painters as Jackson Pollock, Clyfford Still, and Mark Rothko.

Stamos' paintings feature colorful palettes, organic forms, and biomorphic abstractions inspired in part by East Asian aesthetics and philosophies. By the 1940's his career became well established exhibiting at The Whitney Museum, Carnegie Institute, Art Institute of Chicago, and The Museum of Modern Art New York. He was an art educator at The Black Mountain College and The Art Students League of New York. Artworks by Stamos are included in the collections of many of the most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print Mid Century Modernist framed Abstract Expressionist poster print measures 23 3/4" W X 23 7/8" H X 1 1/4" D.

It is printed on smooth finish paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a matte finish. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern solid natural oak wood matte eggshell finish museum box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age, very light signs of handling, and light minor wear in the margin border area.
