Offered is a set of 2 hand carved elephant figurines in teak wood, made in Kenya in the 1960s. They both have very realistic shapes and details, the larger one has broken off tusks at the opening, the smaller one has missing tusks. Elephants are known to bring good luck, and whoever has a home menagerie of carved wood figurines needs these beauties in their life. Perfect as display, or even as paperweights
Larger one measures 9.5" long, 3.5" deep, 8" tall
Smaller one measures 8.5" long, 2.5" deep, 4.5" tall

They both show signs of some vintage scuffs, but we have sanded them and revived them with conditioning oil. The larger one appears to have a 3 inch fissure at its rib cage, it seems to be from when it was carved, see detailed images. Any wear is commensurate with use. less
