A 18th-century Dutch walnut and iron polychrome domed table box, likely retaining its original finish, is beautifully rustic and a historic piece from the Netherlands. Measuring 11 inches wide, 9 inches deep, and 6 inches high, it features a slightly domed, rectangular hinged lid adorned with forged iron strap hardware and the original lock, though without a key. The interior of the lid is strikingly painted with an iron red background, depicting a Dutch pastoral landscape with several fashionably dressed figures and a dog. The lower part of the box measures 10 inches wide, 8 inches deep, and 4 inches high, divided into two sections of 5.5 inches each. This exquisite box is not only a functional storage piece but also a work of art, showcasing the craftsmanship and rich history of 18th-century Dutch design. Ready to place and use.
