Very large clock in gilded and patinated bronze representing Spartacus freed from his chains.
The model of the sculpture is kept at the Louvre Museum. It is the work of Denis Foyatier. This subject is characteristic of the liberal rise which will lead to the revolution of 1830 and the advent of the monarchy of King Louis Philippe.
Working condition, still maintained by the master watchmaker Carpentier in Lille.
