A good antique Islamic Mamluk Revival glass basin, made for the Arab/Persian market, circa 1880.
The bowl either made in France or Austria in the style of either Philippe-Joseph Brocard or by J. L. Lobmeyr & Co. The pale blue basin is finely & beautifully hand-decorated with enameled polychrome decoration, having Kufic inscriptions in cartouches featured along the top and bottom, and decorated with stylized flowers and octagonal medallions along the body containing calligraphy.
