Fabulous large Moorcroft bowl from the Walter Moorcroft period set on a rich dark green background in the anemone pattern with a ring of large yellow and blue anemones with dark green foliage. Beautiful rich colors and a lovely shape and size.
It measures 27cm (10 1/2")wide and 7.5cm (3") high.

Moorcroft is a British art pottery manufacturer specializing in richly decorated earthenware. Art Nouveau-influenced Florian Ware was decorated entirely by hand, with the design outlined in trailed slip using a technique known as tubelining. This technique was used in almost all of Moorcroft's art pottery, distinguishing it from mass-produced pottery.
