A pair of very pretty plates, in the gentlest of colours. Styled in the manner of the Qianlong Dynasty, these octagonal scalloped cabinet plates are hand painted with brilliant multi coloured peonies over a light celadon / greyish white glaze. Butterflies hover around the blooms.
The underside with a red stamp mark with honorary Qianlong Dynasty mark and stating "Made in Macau". Macau pieces are no longer made, and are getting harder to find nowadays.
Condition is excellent. Age 1930's - 1950's. A good weight.
