This Rosenthal Scottish Terrier dog figurine is one of the more "elusive" of Rosenthal's porcelain Scottish Terrier figurines.
Designed by Max Hermann Fritz between 1938 and 1940, it measures 3 1/2" tall x 2 3/4" long x 1 1/2" wide.
This Rosenthal Scottish Terrier is in excellent, flawless condition.
It is one of Rosenthal's miniature collection, and it captures all the extraordinary characteristics of this breed: a soft dense undercoat, erect ears and direct, piercing eyes.
All of which combine to create a "business-like" alertness, and a self-assured confidence, which are portrayed exquisitely in this vintage dog figurine.
