There are 4 dinner plates … Read more Exquisite Limoges, France dinner and salad plates setting for 4 guests. Set totals 8 plates. There are 4 dinner plates (10 inches) and 4 salad, dessert or lunch plates (8.5 inches). Beautiful white plates with delicate and intricate blue design with red roses and yellow/orange fruit and gold borders. The set is in very good condition with no chips and only minimal signs of use. Every plate bears three different marks that were each individually hand stamped on the back as evidenced by their varying locations and ink shading on the back of each plate. Examples of the marks are shown in the photos. The green mark reads "T & V Limoges France" The Blue mark reads "Limoges France and has a swan in the center" The black mark reads E. Bourgeois, Paris, 21 Rue Drouot" indicating that the pieces were sold from Emile Bourgeois' shop called Le Grand Depot located at 21 Rue Drouot, Paris, France which was openned from 1860 until the second world war.
