Danish Modern Teak and Oak Desk by Ib Kofod Larsen for Fredericia, 1956s.
Very rare Danish Mid-Century Modern freestanding writing desk by Ib Kofod-Larsen made in Denmark in 1956 by Fredericia Furniture.
Table frame in solid light Nordic oak with tapering oval legs. Floating table top in teak veneer with slanting edge in solid teak. Trapezoid drawer module with in teak with two drawers. Drawer bodies are in solid oak with dovetail joints. Drawer fronts in teak.
Light and elegant desk with a spacious table top and two deep drawers.
Rarely seen model, a true Danish Modern gem. Only a very few were produced.
Very good unrestored original condition. Only light patina consistent with age and use as small scratches on table top. Original finish. Gently cleaned and polished, ready for use. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
