It has become increasingly more difficult to find in good condition with the passage of time as it is highly susceptible to tears, stains, folds, discolorations etc. This image is a beauty. It is a 130+ year old chromolithograph that is in pristine condition. It showcases a young woman- a dancer-in costume in front of a mirror. Her tambourine lies on the floor. She is posed dramatically with her long gloves, eye mask and in her dance costume. The rich color palette of the image creates a painterly quality. It has Art Nouveau elements with the ribboned title print and dress. Chromolithography was the printing technique used at the time. Its clarity has not diminished over the years. This chromolithograph is perfect for today's performing artist or dancer. It can work with all home décor styles. It is signed by the artist in lower left.
