Large antique pierced brass American Rococo-style with Bacchus-like figure gracing the top of this beautiful frame.
The frame originally had a brass stand connected and while that piece is gone, it still has a ring for hanging. The glass is beveled and likely original.
Measurements:
Frame is 14" tall x 9" wide
Opening is 7.25" tall x 5.5" wide
Per P.E. Guerin's website: "P.E. Guerin is the oldest decorative hardware firm in the United States, and the only metal foundry in New York City. The company was started in 1857 by French immigrant Pierre Emmanuel Guerin and has been at its current location on Jane Street in Greenwich Village since 1892."
