It was part of a collection … Read more This is a c1900 vintage French "Etudes D'Orchidees" (Study of Orchids) published in Paris. It was part of a collection of unbound Art Nouveau design lithographs that featured botanical motifs for inspiration on textiles, tapestries, borders, ceramics, wall decorations, jewelry, etc. This print showcases vignettes of orchids. The work is detailed and intricate. Wonderfully graphic and illustrative of the Art Nouveau period. Illustrator initials are in center of bottom edge. Done in black, gray tones, and off white hues. 13.5 x 9.5 inches in size inclusive of border. In excellent vintage condition. See less
