It is round and created from metal. The body of the vessel is hammered all the way around. A handle is attached on each side that turns up and down and makes carrying it around easy. It comes with the original lid which is hammered just like the body. A small round handle is formed at the top of the lid for easy removal. The bottom is stamped with "Made in Italy". This piece was sourced from the estate of an ex oil and gas expatriate who traveled extensively while living in Egypt. Just imagine the stories that could be told about this time period!
