A truly rare find, the Whiting & Davis Modernist Hinged Cuff/Bangle. This striking piece of jewelry features a lattice-cut out style pattern, reminiscent of Eastern and old world architecture. The wide bangle/cuff features a hinge for ease of putting on and taking off. The clasp which works perfectly and it retains the safety chain. The mark of "Whiting & Davis" is clearly visible and found on the inside of the piece.
Whiting & Davis was established in 1876. In 1892 Mr. Whiting designed the first mesh bag, with all rings formed and joined by hand, and an Icon was born; from flappers to disco divas and first ladies, Whiting & Davis mesh designs have been a high fashion staple ever since.
