Listing is for a pair of early Coalport porcelain platter. The oval platters are decorated with pink roses adjoined by a French blue line surrounded by gilded flowers.
Only mark is an impressed “1” My reference guide suggests that this is a very rare mark and that it’s 1815-1825. Furthermore, I’ve heard of these marks being used in line with platter sizes, the higher the number the larger the platter.
