The pottery from Shawnee Pottery was manufactured in 1937 in Zinisville, Ohio. Shawnee created a wide range of dinnerware items, cookie jars, planters, creamers, and salt and pepper shaker as well as a variety of other household items. When international competitors flooded the market in 1961, the Shawnee Pottery Company closed its doors. Imitations, in addition to being smaller than the original, are frequently of poor quality.
These adorable Crocker Spaniels can be alone on a shelf, used as a vase or planted with your favorite plant. The inside of each is glazed to be water tight. See other listing for pink or green.
