American in Origin - … Read more This is a Great Looking and Uniquely Decorative Antique Cast Iron Notary Public Stamp - Press. American in Origin - Circa Mid 19th Century. Large Size Measuring 11 Inches Tall. It is rendered in a Classic Figurative Lion Head Design. As the Stamp Indicates it is From King County New York. When you Insert a Piece of Paper Between the 2 Stamp Discs and Press Down Firmly in on the Spring Loaded Handle it Reads " WILLIAM H GARDNER - NOTARY PUBLIC - KINGS COUNTY". Note for some Reason the Letter "M" in William Does Not Come Out in the Stamp ?. It is in Very Good Condition - Aged and Rustic - Exactly How it Has Survived Over the Years.
It Measures Overall Approx 11 inches Tall x 6 1/8 inches Long x 2 1/4 inches Wide.
