The Modernist poster print is published by Galerie Beyeler, Switzerland. Printed in 2005 in Switzerland in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the " Arbeiten Auf Papier 1930 - 1969 " exhibition. It features an " Untitled " Abstract Expressionist artwork image originally created by Rothko in 1968, copyright 2005 by Kate Rothko Prizel and Christopher Rothko / Prolitteris, Zurich.

Mark Rothko ( 1903 - 1970 ) is an American Modernist painter of Russian Jewish descent. Although Rothko himself refused to adhere to any art movement, he is generally defined as an Abstract Expressionist. His bold use of color fields make the artworks impressively iconic and highly individual. Rothko is considered to be one of the most important and influential American painters of The Twentieth Century. Artworks by Rothko are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare framed Abstract Expressionist exhibition poster print measures 23 7/8" W X 33 1/2" H X 1" D.

It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern variegated natural oak tan light brown woodgrain style matte eggshell finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very lean condition with very light signs of handling.
