An outstanding and elaborate Hollywood Regency 1940's Marbro Lamp having it's original shade with shell applique' in mint condition. The base in the form of a gilded, crouching boy with a white sea shell to his ear. The design is very detailed in that his face, hands, feet and other elements are very realistic.
The Marbro lamp company had it's beginnings in Los Angeles California after WWII. They imported many of their materials and commissioned sculptures from Europe, and were the rage in Hollywood amongst the rich and famous. Signed on the base, "Marbro Lamp Company".
