It Still Retains its Original Printed Makers Label ( Aged - Dark & Hard to Read ) That Identifies it as "THE BANNER CRANBERRY SCOOP" Made by the A.D. Makepeace Co. in Wareham Massachusetts - Patent March 17, 1903. It is Constructed out of a Indigenous American Hardwood - Possibly Beech or Maple with Steel Brackets and Hollow Tin Rake Spikes. The Top has a Oilcloth ? Cover ( Damaged ). It is in Totally Untouched - Exactly as it has Survived Over the Years Condition ( Right Out of the Barn ). It has Been Used Much Over the Years as Exterior Wear Etc. Indicates. It Still Retains its Original Red Painted Exterior that has Developed a Wonderful Naturally Aged Rustic Appearance. I Purchased this Piece on one of my Recent Picking Adventures in the Northern Cape Cod Massachusetts Region. Cape Cod - Also known as the Cranberry Capital USA where they are and have been Abundantly Grown and Harvested for Many Years. These Types of Cranberry Rakes are very popular today as used for Wall Decor or it Can Also Be Used - Displayed in Any Number of Other Ways.
