Bearing the label of the Cleveland Museum of Art ex col. The vase is iridescent copper tone overall with a design of flowers and foliage on a ground of metallic gold and organic textural surface. metallic gold glints across the whole body and on the satin design. The interior and bottom carry a deeper coppery red color. ( see details in the photos). The overall shape of the vessel appears as a section of a tree trunk. with rolling soft walls and bulges for limbs. A wonderful jewel-like vase from a very prominent maker. The measurements are 4.5" tall and the organic shape of the walls are 3.75" by 3". The actual clay is a heavy dense grey stoneware. See less
