The figures are formed in gesso over the wood with applied gilt. The upholstery is gold and tan brocade.

These chairs are in good original condition with minor losses to the gesso and gilding. The upholstery and braid trim are in very good condition. Otherwise the chairs show wear consistent with age and use.
