Finely detailed vintage amethyst & diamond pendant crafted in 14 karat yellow gold (circa 1970s).
Pear cut amethyst measures 36mm x 26mm (estimated at 65 carats), accented with 56 small round brilliant cut diamonds totaling an estimated 0.56 carats (estimated at I-J color and SI2-I2 clarity. The amethyst is in good condition and free of cracks or chips.
The large pendant is set with a rich royal purple amethyst, checkerboard faceted to draw maximum sparkle. The bale measures 7mm wide and can accommodate a medium to thick chain. A great statement piece with a sleek pear shaped design.
The pendant is in very good condition and was lightly cleaned and polished.
